So I've been pretty scarce on deviantART for the last few months. Mostly because I have been finishing my honours thesis and consequently too busy to take any photo's. Things are not about to change. I'm about to take off with a friend for the next two months on a photography trip to the top end and net access will be sketchy at best. I'm leaving from Brisbane and Driving through central QLD up to Katherine, Kakadu and Darwin where we will be hanging around for about two weeks and then we are making our way over to the Kimberly. From early July on we will be taking part in an AWC trapping survey until the end of the month and then making our way back home stopping at Lawn hill, Longreach, Winton etc on the way back home. I've been spending the last couple of week's frantically packing, buying and reading up on all forms of photography as I plan to delve into a bit of landscape and time-lapse photography in addition to my usual wildlife stuff. We are hoping to come across a variety of rare birds and snakes. I am personally keen to tick off my last three species of Australian diurnal raptor: the red goshawk, grey falcon and black-breasted buzzard.
We may try and write a magazine article so I will hold off uploading photos until I know what we will be trying to publish. But expect a massive deviation dump in about 3 months time.
